Pisa, October 13, 2016

The International Workshop of the project LIFE + IPNOA "Strategies for mitigation of climate change, a challenge for agriculture" was take place on October 13th at the Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna of Pisa. The initiative has been the final workshop of the European project LIFE + IPNOA - "Improved prototypes for N2O emission reduction in agriculture". It is therefore proposed to address the issue of mitigation of greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture in the light of the results of the project, to disseminate the manual of good practices and to generate a discussion on the most innovative approaches to reducing greenhouse gas emissions in the sector agro-forestry.

The project VITISOM LIFE (LIFE15 ENV / IT / 000392) is presented as part of the actions planned in the 2nd session - "Networking: Innovative solutions for reducing emissions in the agricultural and forestry sector" organized on the occasion of the Final Workshop of the project LIFE + IPNOA (LIFE11 ENV / IT / 000302).

The close relationship of synergy between the two project is a perfect example of networking. The LIFE VITISOM provides for the use, in carrying out monitoring of emissions of greenhouse gases from the soil vineyard activities, the prototype developed the project LIFE + IPNOA. Monitoring performed with this tool help under LIFE VITISOM to obtain the mapping of the emissions from soils of each of the 5 tests vineyards, identified at each involved production reality.
