The workshop "Rural development policies and LIFE program - Exchange of experiences and transfer of good practices and innovative solutions for environmental protection and climate action" will take place in Rome on the 14th February 2019.
The event is promoted by the CREA-Center for Research Policies and Bioeconomy and the Ministry of Agriculture, Food, Forestry and Tourism - Directorate General for Rural Development, within the National Rural Network Program 2014-2020-Biodiversity Project, Natura 2000, protected areas. LIFE Program in collaboration with the National Contact Point of the LIFE Program of the Ministry for the Environment and Protection of the Territory and the Sea - Directorate General for Sustainable Development.
The aim of the workshop is to facilitate the meeting and comparison between the actors of the National Rural Network and the beneficiaries of the LIFE program, while promoting the complementarity and development of synergies between the interventions of the Rural Development Programs 2014-2020 and the LIFE projects.
In particular, the workshop will be an opportunity to present some good practices and innovative solutions developed by LIFE projects in reference to the Priorities and Focus Areas of rural development related to environmental protection and climate action, with the prospect of favoring them. the diffusion among the stakeholders of the agricultural and forestry sector.
